ABOUT

Miriam Malka Frankel is a Jewish culture writer, journalist, and media strategist dedicated to preserving memory and fostering meaningful conversation. She is the host of From Rubble to Roots, a powerful new podcast from the Center for Jewish History, created with support from Ancestry®, the global leader in family history.

Through intimate storytelling and historical reflection, From Rubble to Roots amplifies the voices of Holocaust survivors and their descendants, ensuring their memories, resilience, and legacies endure. The series is part of an ongoing partnership between Ancestry and the Center for Jewish History to fill in the gaps in family histories, reconnect lost relatives, and safeguard Jewish memory for generations to come.

Beyond her work as host, Miriam is the founder of Off the Bandwagon, a platform that champions independent thought and encourages deeper, more informed public discourse. Her writing has appeared in The New York Sun, The Jewish Standard, Times of Israel, Center for Jewish History, Olami, and Pipe Dream, and she has also written unattributed for The Daily Caller.

A creative force in media and marketing, Miriam made history as the youngest full-time hire at The Daily Caller, where she led a documentary marketing strategy that grew social media impressions from 4.6 million to 22.6 million in just ten weeks. Today, she serves as Social Media Coordinator at the Center for Jewish History, combining her storytelling skills and digital expertise to bring Jewish history and heritage to new audiences.

Through her work, both on From Rubble to Roots and beyond, Miriam inspires others to listen deeply, think independently, and engage with history as a living story still being written.
